Political Analyst




Hernán Molina is a political analyst and commentator based in Los Angeles, California with more than twenty years of experience in current affairs and politics. Hernán holds a Master of Public Administration from the California State University, Northridge. Currently, Hernán is the lead political analyst for Estrella TV’s newscasts and the co-host of Dos Tipos Políticos, a weekly podcast about current political issues. Over the years, Hernán has collaborated with different local and national news media outlets, including Noticias Univision 34, Noticiero Telemundo 52, Noticias 62, Miami-based MegaTV, Noticias MundoFox and Noticias MundoFox 22 in Los Angeles. In addition, he has appeared multiple times on CNN en Español, CNN Latino, CNN Headline News, and in some of the most prominent public affairs shows in Southern California.   From 2007 to 2009, Hernán hosted Time Warner Cable’s “Local Edition”, which aired on the CNN Headline News channel. From 2011 to 2012, Hernán hosted “LA Community” on KNLA TV of Los Angeles. Hernán has also written extensively for different print and online media outlets, including Frontiers Magazine, and Over the years, and in tandem with his involvement in the media field, Hernán worked in non-profit health services, including the County of Los Angeles Department of Health Services. From 2001 to the present time, Hernán has served as policy analyst and adviser to local government elected officials, developing an extensive network of contacts in the political circles of Los Angeles, Sacramento and Washington, D.C.   Hernán is well versed on issues impacting the Latino community in the United States and on a broad range of political matters in Latin America. Hernán was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from where he departed to reside in Mexico City for two years at the age of 22.
